Post Draft Camp Workouts
Several teams were still very interested in me, but were concerned about my ability to create my own shot and be fully comfortable as a point guard. These teams then set up workouts through my agent, William Neff, to evaluate my skill level before the 2007 NBA Draft on June 28th. For several weeks, I worked out for different NBA teams; being gone several days at a time. My first NBA workout was with the Sacramento Kings, where I was living at the time. This workout was followed by the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Atlanta Hawks. Each workout lasted 60- 90 minutes with 4-6 players (usually 2 guards and 2 post players or 3 guards and 3 post players). We did one-on-one drills, two-on-two drills, and/or three-on-three drills in which we worked on pick-and -rolls, dribble penetration and kicks, and close-outs. My agent considered the Atlanta Hawks workout my best.
